Deputies make several drug related arrests

BRUNSWICK COUNTY, NC (WECT) – Deputies in Brunswick County have made several drug related arrests.

Kimberly Ann Stephens, 41 of Shallotte is being held in lieu of a $100,000 bond for:

  • Trafficking Opium / Heroin
  • Conspiracy to sell and deliver Schedule 4 controlled substance
  • Possession with intent to sell and deliver counterfeit controlled substance
  • Sell or deliver counterfeit controlled substance
  • Possession of drug paraphernalia
  • Possession with intent to manufacture sell and deliver Schedule 2 controlled  substance
  • Possession with intent to manufacture, sell and deliver Schedule 3 controlled substance

Deputies seize 3 lbs. of marijuana from Boiling Spring Lakes man

BOILING SPRING LAKES, NC (WECT) – Deputies with the Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office have arrested a man from Boiling Spring Lakes for several drug violations.

Officials seized three pounds of marijuana, 50 grams of Hashish and more than $1,700 in cash during a search of the residence.

BRUNSWICK COUNTY, NC (WECT) — The Brunswick County Government Center in Boliva is host a community blood drive in conjunction with the American Red Cross.

Golf cart registration is Saturday

BRUNSWICK COUNTY, NC (WECT) — The Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office announced there will be golf cart registration on Saturday, June 25 from 10 a.m. until noon.

You can register your golf cart at the Common Area of Buccaneer Hills in Supply.

Former Shallotte administrator named Boiling Spring Lakes interim manager

BRUNSWICK COUNTY, NC (WECT) — According to the State Port Pilot, the outgoing city manager of Roanoke Rapids and former town administrator for Shallotte, Paul Sabiston, has been named interim manager of Boiling Spring Lakes and will start July 6.

Mayor Richard White reportedly announced the decision Tuesday night.
