Get your antiques examined at Southport appraisal fair | Arts & Culture

SOUTHPORT, NC (WECT) – The 10th annual Antique Appraisal Fair, sponsored by the Southport chapter of P.E.O. (Philanthropic Education Organization), will take place at the Southport Community Center soon.

According to a news release from an event organizer, the fair will be held Sunday, Feb. 24 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Certified appraisers will be at the event to let folks know about the values of their hand-carried items.

Appraisal tickets cost $7, or three for $20. Event-goers can buy up to three tickets (one ticket per item) at the door.

Doors will open at 12:30 p.m. and appraisals will start at 1 p.m.

Proceeds will go towards college scholarships, loans and financial help for women of all ages.
