Officials committed to safety-law enforcement presence continues | Children
BRUNSWICK COUNTY, NC (WECT) - The Brunswick County Sheriff's Office and Brunswick County Board of Education continue to collaborate for the safety and security of all students and staff in light of the tragic events at Sandy Hook Elementary School.
Ongoing conversations have resulted in an agreement to continue providing a law enforcement presence for each elementary school.
A liaison meeting with members of the Brunswick County Commissioners and Brunswick County Board of Education is scheduled for January 7, 2013. It is anticipated funding for the additional officers will be discussed.
