BRUNSWICK COUNTY, NC (WECT) - Brunswick County Schools welcomes new administrative leadership as Mark Pasier was named executive director of human resources.
The announcement was made during a special called meeting of the Board of Education earlier Tuesday.
Pasier has over 15 years experience in public school human resources administration. He currently serves as director of human resources for the Montgomery County Public Schools in Virginia.
In his career, Pasier has served as a captain in the United States Army, public school teacher, assistant principal, and principal.
"Once again, Brunswick County Schools has attracted a strong applicant pool and has identified an outstanding, experienced HR professional to fill the position of executive director of human resources. We eagerly await the arrival of Mark Pasier," Superintendent Edward Pruden said.
Pasier is filling the vacancy created after Dr. Deanne Meadows was named Assistant Superintendent and Chief Academic Officer in November. Pasier is expected to begin his new assignment at the end of January.
