OAK ISLAND, NC (WECT) – The Town of Oak Island is gearing up for its weekly farmer’s market.
People can come out and shop every Monday from 7 a.m. until 1 p.m. It begins in July and will end in September.
The market will be held directly behind town hall on the soccer fields at the corner of SE 46th Street and E. Dolphin Drive.
Most days the market’s vendors will offer locally grown vegetables and fresh seafood, including shrimp, fish and crabs. Other regular vendors will offer homemade cakes, breads, brownies, honey and more.
If you’re not looking for food, you’re in luck. Local artists and crafters will sell their handmade items, such as paintings, jewelry and crafts.
