It's beginning to look a lot like a Dickens Christmas Festival

SOUTHPORT, NC (WECT) - It is a great weekend for a festival...the first annual Charles Dickens Christmas Festival in downtown Southport!

The celebration, coordinated by the Brunswick Arts Council under the direction of festival chairwoman Sue MacCallum, is a wonderful, family oriented way to raise awareness about the importance of the arts and arts education in Brunswick County Schools.

Festival goers will have their choice of venues featuring visual and performing arts and even the chance to meet Queen Victoria!  Who is this fair queen? She is none other than Brunswick County Board of Education Chairwoman Shirley Babson.  Accompanying Queen Victoria is Prince Albert, played by Bradley Babson, and three beautiful princesses, Babson's granddaughters Deidra, Laura, and Nicole.
