ST. JAMES, NC (WECT) - Brunswick County Public Utilities reports about 4,000 gallons of untreated wastewater were released from a main sewer recently.

The spill happened at 2810 St. James Drive in St. James. It was caused by a cable contractor directional bore, according to a news release from the Brunswick County Administration.

The spill has been contained and cleaned up.
