Solomon Cup Croquet Championship comes to NC
BRUNSWICK COUNTY, NC (WECT) – The Solomon Cup Croquet Championship will be held in Bald Head Island this week.
This is the first time the international croquet tournament has been held in North Carolina.
According to the Bald Head Island croquet website, the US and Great Britain have played a croquet “test match” almost every year since 1985. This event is the equivalent of the Davis cup or Ryder Cup.
Pre-tournament events began Monday and the Solomon Trophy play will take place Wednesday through Saturday.
The match will be against teams of six in a mix of singles and doubles.
