WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) - The cast and crew of Iron Man 3 are heading to Brunswick County after several days of stunt filming in Wilmington.
The film crew stayed mainly on the ground Wednesday as opposed to the air, where for a couple days they had stunt people hanging from a crane.
Barges and docks along the waterfront were filled with crews along the Cape Fear River, and divers spent much of the day jumping in and out of the water as well.
While it remains unknown what all the filming will be used for in the movie, it's safe to say there will be lots of action.
Iron Man 3 will begin filming in Oak Island Thursday, staying there for about 10 days, according to a permit. Crews are supposed to film aerial shots over the water and will also shoot on the beach between Barbee Blvd. and Crowell St., where pedestrian access will be blocked off.
Crews are also said to be using Skydive Coastal Carolina, located at 4019 Long Beach Road SE.
