BRUNSWICK COUNTY, NC (WECT) – Deputies with the Brunswick County Sheriff's Office arrested a man accused of armed robbery.

According to a news release from the sheriff's office, around 4:30 p.m. Thursday, authorities responded to an armed robbery and shots fired call in the 2580 block of Aberdeen St. SW in Supply.

When deputies arrived, they found the homeowner alone at his residence, and the two suspects involved had already fled the scene in a light blue automobile.

Following the incident, authorities have drawn warrants on Christopher Stephen Babson.

Babson was charged with:

  • assault With A Deadly Weapon With Intent to Kill
  • possession Of Firearm By Felon
  • robbery With Dangerous Weapon
  • discharge Weapon Occupied Dwelling
  • resisting Public Officer

Authorities say a second person was involved, but has not been identified and is at large.
