BRUNSWICK COUNTY, NC (WECT) – Silver Coast Winery in Ocean Isle Beach has been collecting donations for those impacted by Hurricane Sandy.

Organizers say people impacted by Sandy mostly need cleaning supplies, plastic bins and blankets. You can drop off these items at the Chamber of Commerce offices in Leland, Southport or Shallotte.

So far, they have one truck to fill with supplies, but they still need three trailers to haul the items up north and aim to take the items Monday.

Organizers said they are also in need of monetary donations to pay for the gas of volunteers driving the materials.

Tangerine's Caribbean Grill is also holding a benefit bash this Saturday in an effort to raise money for Sandy victims. Click here for more details.
