BRUNSWICK COUNTY, NC (WECT) – The case involving a woman accused of embezzling thousands of dollars from a school's PTA fund has been continued.
According to Brunswick County court records, the state continued Dana DiBenedetto's case this week.
A new court date was set on Dec. 20, 2012.
DiBenedetto was a member of the parent-teacher association at Virginia Williamson Elementary.
DiBenedetto is accused of embezzling $7,619.08 from the school's PTA. Detectives say she used the PTA's debit card to pay off household and personal bills.
