2 roads to close in Jan. for bridge replacement project
BRUNSWICK COUNTY, NC (WECT) – Two roads in Brunswick County will be closed in the beginning of 2013 as crews replace a bridge across Little Doe Creek.
According to the NC Department of Transportation, Hewett and Stanley Roads across Little Doe Creek will be closed Monday, January 7, 2013 from 7 a.m. until January 28, 2013 at 7:00 a.m. for pipe replacement.
Drivers should take a detour at SR 1126 (Morgan Rd.), SR 1119 (Stanley Road), and SR 1127 (Taft Road).
The NCDOT reminds motorists to STAY ALERT, encourages motorists to use alternate routes when possible during this period, drive with caution, obey the posted speed limits, and allow extra travel time.
