SOUTHPORT, NC (WECT) – Southport and surrounding areas are continuing to see a surge from Safe Haven.

Karen Sphar, the Executive Vice President of the Southport-Oak Island Area Chamber of Commerce, said the group has seen a 62% increase in visits its website, when comparing this February to last February.

The website is www.southport-oakisland.com.

Last week, we first reported that hits to the town of Southport's website have tripled, since the film hit theaters.
