A thirty-five year broadcasting veteran, Gary McNair is Vice President and General Manager of WECT, Raycom Media's NBC affiliate
McNair, a West Virginia native, comes to WECT-TV6 from the NBC affiliate, WBOY-TV in Clarksburg, West Virginia where he was senior vice president and general manager. He also had oversight responsibility for WTRF-TV, the CBS/FOX affiliate in Wheeling, WV.
McNair has also managed stations in Kansas (KSNT Channel 27 - NBC, Topeka) and New Mexico (KBIM Channel 10 - CBS, Roswell). Under his leadership, KSNT was named medium-market Station of the Year three times by the Kansas Association of Broadcasters. Prior to working in New Mexico, McNair held marketing and production positions at WSAZ (NBC) in Huntington, WV. He is a graduate of Marshall University.

WECT-TV6 is owned by Raycom Media. Raycom, an employee-owned company, is one of the nation's largest broadcasters and currently owns and/or operates 35 television stations in 17 states. Raycom stations cover more than 10.2 % of U.S. television households and employ 3500 individuals in full and part-time positions.
In addition to television stations, Raycom owns Raycom Sports (a marketing, production and events management and distribution company in Charlotte, North Carolina); Raycom Post (a post production facility in Burbank, CA), Broadview Media (a post production/telecommunications company based in Montgomery, AL), and Cable Vantage (a cable advertising sales group based in Columbia, SC).
